FAQ
Straight answers.
The questions agencies ask us on the first call, answered the way we’d answer them on the call.
What does Signal actually say to a buyer or tenant — does it sound like a bot?
It replies as your agency, in your tone of voice, over WhatsApp — asking the questions a good negotiator would ask, one at a time, at the buyer’s pace. It doesn’t pretend to be a named member of staff.
Which CRMs does it work with?
Reapit, Apex27 and Acquaint today — reading your listings and writing every enquiry, answer and booking back. If yours isn’t listed, tell us on the call.
What happens when it doesn’t know the answer?
It says so, tells the buyer the team will come back to them, and flags the question to a negotiator with the full conversation attached. It never invents a fact about a property.
Is it our WhatsApp number or yours?
Yours. You connect your branch phone number and Signal creates an agency-branded WhatsApp on it — your name, your logo. Buyers see your agency, not Signal.
How long does setup take, and what do we have to change?
Live in 48 hours. Connect your enquiry sources and CRM, connect the branch number, and your team carries on as they are — they just pick up warm, qualified prospects instead of raw enquiries.
What does it cost?
Per branch, per month, ex VAT: Respond £199 (every enquiry answered and qualified), Operate £299 (viewings, feedback and applications handled too), New Homes £499 (scheme-aware enquiry handling, show-home check-in, waitlists, development dashboard). Multi-branch groups are custom. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial of Operate, and annual billing gets two months free. Full breakdown on the pricing page.
Is it GDPR-compliant, and who is the data controller?
Yes. Your agency is the data controller; Signal Proptech Ltd is the processor, acting on your instructions. Buyers can opt out at any time by replying STOP. Full details are in our privacy notice.
Does it cover lettings and new homes, not just sales?
All three. Lettings applicants are pre-qualified on affordability, move-in date and referencing readiness, and can apply over WhatsApp. New homes enquiries are qualified against your released plots, with show-home QR check-in and launch waitlists.
Can a negotiator take over a conversation?
Yes — any conversation can be picked up by a member of staff at any point, with the full history in front of them, and Signal steps back.
What about enquiries that come by phone?
Signal handles portal, website and WhatsApp enquiries. Phone calls still come to your team. Voice agents are on the roadmap for early 2027.
