Signal Proptech Ltd (“Signal PropTech”) sends text messages under the programme name “Signal Tours Assistant (Signal PropTech)” to coordinate property viewing appointments for real estate agents who use our service. Signal PropTech is the sender of every message. Consent is collected in one of two ways, shown below. Full programme terms are on our SMS Terms page and data handling is described in our Privacy Policy.
A. Verbal consent (collected by the agent)
When a buyer or real estate professional gives their mobile number to an agent for showing coordination, the agent reads the following script and records the answer against the contact:
“We use Signal Tours Assistant, a text service run by Signal PropTech, to schedule, confirm, reschedule or cancel your viewings. Msg frequency varies (typically 2–10 per viewing request). Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Do I have your permission for Signal PropTech to text you at this number?”
Messages are only sent if the recipient answers yes. The agent records the date, time and the number consented to. The first message the recipient receives repeats the programme name, the opt-out instructions and links to these terms.
B. Text keyword opt-in
A recipient can also opt in directly by texting the keyword START to the Signal Tours Assistant (Signal PropTech) number, (646) 921-4268. The exchange is:
No appointment messages are sent until the recipient replies YES. If they do not reply, no further messages are sent. Replying STOP at any point unsubscribes the number and triggers one final confirmation message; replying HELP returns our contact details.
